Ani Phyo is on a mission to show everyone how easy it can be to live healthy and happy. Green living tips, fitness, and natural beauty melded with delicious healthy, whole foods, Ani shows us how fast and easy it is to make nutritious meals that are delicious and guilt free.

Ani’s family had an organic garden while she was growing up, and she was taught the value of whole foods from her terminally ill father, who passed away when she was 17. Ani lived in San Francisco and multimedia gulch during web 1.0, she travels the world, works with numerous non-profit organizations, and realizes our World needs a big change, fast! To help spread the word, she hosts webisodes, appears on TV as a health expert, and writes lifestyle and recipe books that focus on nutrition, longevity, health, beauty, fitness, and living life well.

The author of five popular and best-selling eco-lifestyle books: “Ani's 15-Day Fat Blast”, “Ani's Raw Food Asia”, “Ani's Raw Food Essentials”, “Ani's Raw Food Desserts”, and “Ani's Raw Food Kitchen” (awarded “Best Vegetarian Cookbook USA 2007”); Ani has become the “go to girl” on healthy living using fresh, whole and raw food ingredients. She is the recipient of four Best of Raw 2008 Awards for Best Chef, Favorite Cookbook and Favorite Educator. She has also won Sexiest Raw Vegan Woman for 2008, 2009, and 2010.

In addition to hosting “Ani's Raw Food Kitchen Show”, the award-winning #1 uncooking show on YouTube, Ani has hosted webisodes for The City of Los Angeles, Vegetarian Times Magazine, VegNews.com, The Virtual Channel Network, and Panjea TV as a lifestyle and wellbeing correspondent.

Ani has appeared on shows including the Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, ABC7 in Los Angeles with Lori Corbin, San Francisco's View From the Bay featuring Spencer Christian, Better with host Audra Lowe, and NBC New York's LX New York. She has been featured in numerous magazines including Food & Wine, Food Network, BBC, Alternative Medicine, Oxygen, American Fitness, VegNews, Delicious Living, Vegetarian Times, and Get Fresh.

The premiere manufacturer of high performance blenders, Vitamix, has selected Ani as the celebrity chef representative for the launch of their latest product to hit the market -- the TurboBlend VS blender. In addition to featuring some of her recipes in the 280+ page cookbook accompanying the product, a 60-minute instructional DVD of Ani preparing raw, vegan and vegetarian recipes is included with each blender.

As a socially-minded values-centered entrepreneur, Ani is an advisor to Loyola Marymount’s Entrepreneurship Program in the College of Business Administration. She's also a panelist at UCLA's Anderson School of Management advising their Executive MBA students on their business plans and proposals. She is the founder of SmartMonkey Foods, an eco-green, raw, and vegan packaged food company sold in 2008. She was an owner in web design studio Vivid Studios, which went public in 1999. Her user-centered design process is documented in her first book “Return on Design: Smarter Web Design That Works”. Ani graduated with a B.S. in Business Management, Nutritional Science, and Human Ecology Design from Cornell University in 1990.

Ani lives in Los Angeles with her Rhodesian Ridgeback, Kanga, whom she rescued in 2002. Fifty pounds underweight when she adopted her, Ani healed Kanga back to health with whole foods by applying the same principles that she uses for humans to her beloved dog. Ani is currently working on her next book along with planning projects for TV, DVD, and the web.
